Call for Symposia

EORS SYMPOSIUM APPLICATIONS OPEN NOW

EORS welcomes the submission of symposia proposals. The goal of these symposia is to provide a forum for focused discussions on new and emerging topics or innovative applications of established approaches. A symposium may revolve around a specific theme or it may expose the work done by societies or international consortia.

Please note that proposals that are of interest for a larger audience and that have not been selected for a symposium, may be merged into the scientific program as a topic of a regular session.

The deadline for submission of the proposals for symposia is 15 November 2024. Please download the application form below.

Kindly save your application file as EORS_SURNAME_Symposium2025 and send the application form via email to EORS-CAOS-2025@aofoundation.org entitled: ” ‘SURNAME’–EORS Symposium Application 2025”

Symposia speakers and chairs

Each symposium is 90 minutes. Standard symposia consist of one 20-minute keynote lecture plus 5 minutes discussion, followed by 5 oral presentations, each consisting of 8 minutes plus 4 minutes for discussion. This leaves an extra 5 minutes overall discussion.

The symposia are led by a chair and a co-chair, both must be registered participants to avoid no-show onsite.

Upon acceptance of the symposium, all speakers have to submit an abstract of their presentations by 20 December 2024 (deadline) using the abstract submission tool and register to the conference by 07 April 2025.

Room rental and AV equipment

The AO Orthopeadic Research Summit conference organisers will allocate standard conference rooms for the symposia and will offer the standard AV equipment that is required in these rooms. The use of any other extra materials is at the account of the symposia organisers.
